Jewelry Making

This afternoon the ladies started making jewelry for gifts for the ladies tea on Saturday. They managed to make 48 bracelets before running out of supplies.

The other supplies the girls exhausted was Ana's finished jewelry. Susan bought a bunch - several sets of earrings, a bracelet - 65,000 Guarani worth - or about $17.

Tonight Susan and I visited a family to share our testimonies, then went to a cell group to share again. In between we stopped at El Gato to have some empanadas. I believe everyone has managed to have them once this trip. They are a local food that's like a turnover filled with ham and cheese or other fillings.

Mean Domi (Franspeak for Domi and Fran - it's great to have so many teachers on this trip to ensure we use proper english alongside our terrible spanish) went to another home, and Domi gave most of her testimony in Spanish, while Sarah translated for Fran. Another powerful end to a great day.

All: I am so enjoying your daily posts (esp. pix!) and comments. You are in my prayers. Keep up the good work, and may God show you the many ways in which He is advancing His kingdom in the lives of those there in Paraguay. "He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun." (Psalm 37:6) Blessings, Deborah
