Ladies Tea

We had another unseasonably warm day for the tea. Tempuratures during the day were around 32C - or about 90. This has caused many trees to think it's spring and go into bloom.

Other than to step in to take a few pictures, I don't know much of what happened at the tea. Lisa did a nice writeup, but the computer froze and she lost it all, including her patience with computers. The tea was held at the San Lorenzo church in the sanctuary. The ladies did a nice job decorating the room.

Here's one of the tables prepared for the tea.

Little plates were prepared for all the women. They had empanadas, little sandwiches, and other finger foods.

Brenda also made three sheet cakes, and topped the cake with a whipped cream / caramel topping.

One point the women got pretty rowdy cheering on their representatives...

... in the bubble gum blowing contest.

Two of the youth did some traditional dance for the ladies...

... including this bottle dance.

Now two - and curtsy down to the floor.

How about three bottles?

The bottle dance is not quite as hard as it looks - the bottles interlock into each other.

Nevertheless, I don't think any of us could dance with four bottles on our head.

Let alone five.

I was up with the youth - all boys & men for some reason - sharing my testimony. Afterwards we played pool - traditional 8 ball, except the balls are all solids - you have to look at the numbers, not stripes or solids.

They also played ping-pong.

After the tea, Ana introduced us to her boyfriend.
