Toto, We're not in Kansas

This morning was another work morning. We had much of the same team, with Alberto and Hugo returning. Lisa stayed back to work on an audit of the books, and we were joined by Caesar, another relatively new member of the San Lorenzo church. Both Caesar and Alberto shared their testimonies with us as we worked this morning. Here Caesar is showing his tattoos - not Superman, but SuperCaesar.

We were working on paint in three rooms. The small kitchen still has a fair amount to do, and another room needs another coat tomorrow, but this room is done. The green only took four coats to hide.

We stopped to get a photocopy, and didn't get hit by this bus, or any bus, or anything yet, for that matter. I think the girls are getting more comfortable with the more aggressive driving here, but they found it a bit unsettling the first few days. Bob has had several encounters with the Paraguayan buses in the time he's been here.

We saw one of these food merchants again today. They sell fruits and vegetables, and sometimes cannabis out of the wagons in the morning. In the afternoon they sometimes do trash collection.

Bob and Forest were talking this morning about a location for the Mariscal Lopez church plant. They are looking at this vacant lot. If they acquire the lot, they'll build a front wall and put a roof up.

Next door is another lot that potentially can be used. The plan would be to buy the one lot and rent this lot for Sunday school classes, etc. If both lots can be purchased, then a multistory building could be erected that would be immediately behind a gas station on the main highway through Paraguay.

We stopped to get some milk today. Milk doesn't come in cartons, bottles or jugs. It comes in 1 liter bags. At home you cut a corner of the bag, and hold the bag in a small pitcher.

Thankfully, the classes Karl led us through before the trip helped us learn these differences aren't wrong, they're just different.
